This is Simon and his amazing custom built out Fairdale Weekender. It goes completely without saying that with that turquoise blue paint and gumwall tires it's a beautiful bike, so lets talk about awesome and fun this bike is.
Fairedale started with a tough but comfortable cromoly frame and fork. Predictable but lively geometry, braze on points for both front and rear racks, fenders and more. Smart features like a sealed integrated headset and easily serviceable disc brakes make this a great bike for a variety of uses.
Simon started with just the frame and fork and added all his own parts to end up with an absolutely dialed setup that will be perfect for his riding and lifestyle.
A Shimano 10 speed drivetrain gives him a simple and lightweight system that is geared widely enough for light touring, grocery getting, and even some light trail riding. With hydraulic brakes he'll always have the stopping power he needs to get out of any problem he gets into.
Odyssey flat pedals complete the look and provide just the right amount of grip for zipping around town in sneakers.
Since we snapped these photos he found the perfect basket for the front of his bike to load up with snacks, camping gear, small animals or whatever else he can think of.
Ride on man!
