Bike Check; Masha’s Breezer Inversion X.

But I think it's going to be alright
I think it's going to be o.k.
I think of those days that came before
And together we will mark these days

- Rites of Spring: All Through A Life

The right of passage of getting your first “nice” bike when you work at a shop is something special. I still fondly remember the first bike I got when I started working at Rowlett's Bicycles so many years ago. It was a Surly Steamroller fixed gear in “Boston Baked Bean” brown.

What stands before you digitally is Masha’s first all-new bike after joining the team here at Outpost Richmond.

A recurring theme here is the steel all-road/gravel bike. The Breezer Inversion X holds true with its cro-moly steel frame, stable geometry, and ample tire clearance.

The stock tires were ditched immediately in favor of the Challenge Getaway Pro. A staff favorite, this tire brings “almost as fast as a road tire” speed to a knobby tread that gives the perfect amount of grip for all of the shred portals that connect bits of Richmond together.

The stock bars and saddle were also ditched in favor of the Pro Discover gravel drops and Sirin saddle to dial in the setup.

Also in true bike shop tradition, the fork was upgraded to carbon when an “extra” fork appeared after processing a frame warranty.

With a swap of the OEM headset to a really nice one from Wolf Tooth, this frame was ready for the upgrade.
What tweaks will happen next? Only time will tell.
